Told through the voices of Togolese griots, Zāgbéto is a cinematic journey into West African folklore that challenges the stigma surrounding traditional heritage. By confronting the mysteries of the past, the film invites us to see tradition not as something to fear, but as a source of understanding, resilience, and continuity.
